"MURDER ME FROM MILES AWAY.
I WILL FINISH THIS TODAY, FOR YOU."
NAME: Artemis Cedric Michaels
GENDER: Male
AGE: 28
SEXUALITY: Heterosexual
OCCUPATION: Mercenary for the Evil Queen
FACE CLAIM: Lancer, Fate/Zero - The Huntsman
FAIRY TALE: Snow White
PERSONALITY TRAITS: Who is the huntsman but the dream of a young orphan boy come true? This grown man now standing tall, brimming with strength still has many personality traits that one would consider boyish. Perhaps now it's not the hormones of a teenager but the fascination of a hungry man, the huntsman is undeniably heterosexual and tends to favor the existence of a tender woman to any man. Due to this, he does not have many friends aside from the fair (and I mean fair) queen whom which he serves. Of course, this has only hindered him from doing his job once, and he doesn't plan on it happening again.
The huntsman is naturally charismatic and doesn't really need to try. Very rarely does a fellow come along that can shake the charming huntsman's cadence-- with the exception of his dear queen of course. His temper is not hot and he comes off as rather friendly, at least toward women. Toward men, he usually has a boastful way of speaking, finding himself to be of greater importance or status due to his connection to the queen. He seems to forget every so often that the collar around his neck puts him beneath even the most common of men as a slave.
Quite daring and ready to take risks, the huntsman's mouth gets him in enough trouble without that scheming mind of his. Does he enjoy being at the beck and call of the evil queen? Not exactly, but it provides him with a purpose. Should there be an opening for escape, he would take the chance needed. He doesn't have many fears, whether it is the dark, heights, or standing toe-to-toe with an enemy. The huntsman harbors a deep rooted phobia of ventriloquist dolls and things of that sort. Automaton phobia really is a bitch, but those things are damn creepy!
While he's not what you would call a knight in shining armor, the huntsman is definitely brave. If someone attempts to threaten him, nine times out of ten, he won't be the one to bat an eyelash. Breaking him down would be like taking a knife to a brick wall. One could call him a coward due to the fact that he would have little to no problem leaving a fellow gang member or even his dear queen to die if it would save his own hide. That action isn't out of cowardice however, but his general disregard for life that isn't his own-- that part of him that needs to survive at all costs, even if that means saving him and leaving comrades behind. In the end, the huntsman is looking out for number one and his best interest.
Now and then, the huntsman does feel tinges of jealousy. While he did not particularly choose to be a soul eater and an assassin for the evil queen, he does try to enjoy it by doing a good job. Hearing her praise someone other than him for their work makes him feel as if he has come up short, and being reprimanded is the worst. It shakes him back in line tenfold, mostly because the huntsman knows that if she has no use for him anymore, she would sooner kill him than to let him go.
HISTORY: For the most part, The Huntsman grew up an orphan. In an attempt to impress the other kids, he often was very bold and brave, trying to grab attention, woo girls as he got older, and of course live a live full of excitement. This is not the typical orphan story riddled with trauma and tragedy. No, no, he was happy with his life. It happened to be when he was fifteen when he had his first kill. When the orphanage burned down, many of the kids scattered in an attempt to live on their own. Few were found and brought back, cept for our dear Huntsman, who preferred life on the outside.
Realizing where his efficiency lied, he made quite a pretty penny doing this and as he grew into his young adult years, began to make quite a name for himself. So much so that the Evil Queen herself found interest in him. And of course, who would our Huntsman be if he disobeyed a beautiful woman? It seems however that The Huntsman was not quite aware of what he was getting himself into. Women, with their fair beautiful faces and exteriors were being targeted. When time came for The Huntsman to snuff out codename Snow White, he found himself unable when he finally had her within his grasp.
Things have changed this time around, however. The next time he defies her, it is most definitely game over.
WEAPONS: Two swords that he wears on his hip. He does not use both at the same time-- merely one left over in case the first one breaks or is out of his grasp. Both are identical, silver with onyx hilts-- a topaz gem encrusting the tip of its handles. Each has a length of 47 inches.
ABILITIES: The only real ability a Huntsman needs is of course excelling in hunting. He has very good eyesight and is quite proficient with his blade-- however he does not have any sort of super strength or anything inhuman. He is devilishly good looking and charming however-- perhaps an ability when it comes to attempting to persuade someone into giving him what he wants.
